ಕೈ ಕೆಂಪಾಯಿನ ತೂದು
ಖುಷಿಟ್ ನಲಿಪುನ...
ವಾ ಸೋಕುಯೆ ಅವು
ಪೊಣ್ಣುಲು ಪೂರ
ಒಟ್ಟಾದ್ ಪಾಡುನ...
ಪಾಡ್ ದ್ ಒರಿಯನ

A day before marriage
Applying on both the hands
To become maroon red.
With an aspiration to keep
The family cool till the end.

Even the Henna has changed to
Suite the new generation
Of the new world.
Red yellow ...the henna
That quickly absorb
Quickly dries out ...
That gives quick thick color.
